For decades, salon entrepreneurs and fingernail experts have longed for a healthy and safe substitute to acrylic nails; one that shines, protect the nails, have the same length as regular nails and be safe from the damages acrylics can cause.

The Ravel Nail Dip Powder System’s impressive technological innovation was designed by a team of fingernail experts with years of marketing experience.

This powder fingernails polish brand takes less time than it would take to do a complete monomer and acrylic manicure. With our range of colours, you can get amazing gel polish colours with one of the colour powders found on the list of available colours. There will be no need to worry about the offensive smell a monomer gives.

A little information about SNS Dipping Powder

Dip Powder soaks off easier than regular gels, takes less time to get done and does not smell like monomer does and in the end, you’ll have your nails beautiful and healthy after removal. It takes less time to apply and since it doesn’t smell like monomer, customers love it. Dip Powders are a safe and healthier substitute to gel polishes and traditional acrylics.

What makes Dip Powders so popular?

Dip powders can come in any colour, glitter effects, several colour effects and they are as durable acrylic and gel polish. Salon owners always prefer Dip Powders because they profit more than they would when applying a typical gel and in return, the customers are left with a healthier and natural nail and something more durable than the regular gel polish. Dip Powder can stay on natural nails for as long as for two months, as opposed to the regular gel polish that lasts for just two weeks. You would pay the same amount for white and pink Dip Powder as you would for acrylics.

What makes Dip Powder so healthy?

There are no methacylates used in making SNS powder nails. The fluid depends on Cyanoacrylate, which is identical to glue that is used in the medical centres to seal up cuts rather than stitch them. Although fingernail market uses Ethyl Cyanoacrylate which is more complicated and more resilient while medical centres use Octyl Cyanoacrylate.

Dip Powder application method

  • Prep all fingers
  • Apply base to one finger
  • Dip the finger into the powder
  • Apply base again
  • Dip the finger into the powder again
  • Repeat the above steps until you have completed all fingers
  • Now apply activator to all fingers
  • File the nail surfaces using a fine grit file
  • Wash both hands with water and so not use soap
  • Dry both hands with a towel
  • Apply activator to the fingers again and wait for half a minute
  • Apply the second coat to all fingers

You do not need a LED/UV light to get this done so if there are problems associated to using one, this can be avoided.

Women really like their nails. Lovely nails give us this feminine and gorgeous look so we should really care for them. However, most women have issues with their nails. Would you like to eliminate those issues today?

  1. Embrace rubber gloves.

Always wear gloves when you clean your home or do the dishes. The harmful substances in detergents we use to do these daily tasks can ruin our nails. Not only that they will they weaken your nails, your hands could get burnt. Your gloves should be your best friend.

  1. Fingernail hardeners and calcium gels.

These substances can make your nails strong, but they do not start working immediately. You need to use them for a while and give them time to work. Good hardeners are hard to come by but they can be found in the market.

  1. Cream for nails

Your hand creams are good but not strong enough to protect the nails. You need to get special cream for nails. They are usually cheap, and there are a lot of them on the market. Try several until you find the one that fits your budget.

  1. Removing your cuticle

One of the biggest errors many women do when it comes to nails is cuticle removal. Please stop doing this. If you need to fix your cuticles, gently push them using a cuticle stick and start using a cuticle remover gel.

  1. Frequent Clipping.

Do you really need super long nails? They make you look slutty and of course, they’re unpractical. In order for your nails not to interfere with your daily chores, keep them at length. When you grow long nails, they become vulnerable to splitting.

  1. Polishing and filing.

Purchase a good nail file. Always file your nails whenever you clip them. Whenever you file your nails, it should be done to one direction only. When you go several directions, you are actually weakening your nails and cracking it. Also don’t polish your nails too often because it weakens them and makes them thin.

  1. Go easy on nail polish.

Although vibrant nails are quite awesome, nails enhance actually cause lots of harm to your nails. Do you know that nail polish contains a harmful substance called acetone, and this weakens nails? Use only the best of polishes for your manicure. Some kind of damp friendly substitute for nail polish such as: dnd nail polish, bio seaweed gel, kiara sky nail polish… Do not use expired nail polish.

  1. Nail polish removers that are oil based are the best.

Do people still use acetone based removers? Acetone is bad for your nails because they soften them. Use oil based removers.

  1. Gel or acrylic nails.

If you have weak nails, you can opt for acrylic nails but I personally do not like them. I’ve also heard most people react to acrylic nails so be sure you are okay with them. If someone were to pull your artificial nails, they would hurt badly because they’re attached to your natural nails.

  1. Ensure your nails are healthy.

No therapy or additional care will help you if you don’t take care of your nails and keep them healthy. There are a lot of ways you can care for your nails that are not mentioned in this post so do more research on how to care for your nails.

Not too long ago, I came across this awesome gel product known as “Bio Seaweed Gel” from a piece of writing on Stylelist.com.

The USA made Bio Seaweed Gel but based in Canada is probably the best alternative on the market today, and it is 5-FREE! It is a healthy alternative to gel polish. In addition to being free of the 5 dangerous substances seen in many gel and nail polishes, it also has a unique ability to cure under natural sunlight!

Despite having this unique ability to cure in daylight, it also replicates that ability with an LED light in half a minute. Having a unique platform cover is not necessary and the extra bonus…. You don’t have to clean the top coat!  Yeah!  There’s no difficult remains that needs to be eliminated when done with your manicure!

So, I made a decision to try this product out on one of my friend…and know if it’s actually true! First we tried to see if it cures under sunlight… there wasn’t any sunlight, it didn’t perform very well.  So our next step was to try it with an LED lamp and it worked out perfectly!

Prepping the Nails:

We prepped every nail by forcing back her cuticles, shaped and filed each nail carefully and finally, gently buffed the surface of her nails to remove the glow.

  • We used alcohol to remove the dust and oil from each nail
  • We applied a coat of Sienna on every nail
  • We used the LED lamp to cure each nail for half a minute
  • We cured again after applying the second coat of Sienna
  • We used a thin layer of top coat on all the nails and then applied some glitter accents along the cuticles. This was done using a small nail art brush that has been dipped in alcohol to help the glitter stick properly to the brush.
  • Cure again for half a minute
  • Finally, apply the last coat to all the nails and cure for half a minute

Between each step, I asked her a few questions and she gave her answers. First, I asked if it burned under the LED light and she said no. I also asked her how if felt on her nails and she said it was so light, it doesn’t feel like a gel polish.

A few weeks later, I asked her if there were chips and she said no. She also went ahead to say how well the polish was and how she loved it.

When it was time to soak it off, I wondered if it would stain her nails but it didn’t. After wrapping each nail with a cotton ball that has been dipped in tin foil and CNV nourishing remover, the nails soaked off within 10 minutes.

I would strongly suggest Bio Seaweed Gel to whoever is looking to have a home manicure done soon, and also to salon owners. Visit dtknailsupply.com to purchase the All-In-One gel polishes.

The moment you decide how you want your nails to look today, you already won half the battle.

After the dnd nail polish, white, black and yellow have become a combination that I’ve fallen in love with. I remember seeing a nail art tutorial on YouTube and I’ve been inspired ever since. I just wish I could. I’m sorry I cannot search for the video URL right now. This exact same combination was again used by VOV and the dark lines were drawn using sketch pens designed for nail art.

What shapes do you like your nails? This is always a manicurist’s question when you want to get your nails done. If you think about it, you would realize your answer have always been spontaneous because you almost never give it a thought. This could be as a result of not wanting to be stuck with a shape you don’t like due to constant changing. Or it could be you feel your current nail shape best describes you.

Both outcomes are completely true but let us consider the second reason. Your nail shape does not reflect your personal style; it also tells people who you really are.

Below is an analysis of some nail shapes:

  • Sharp Stiletto Nails: This best describes the rebellious (fashion wise). This is the kind of nail shape for women who don’t mind looking or being different, being trendsetters and are completely aware of what’s going on.
  • Squoval Nails: This one is a combination of oval and square, both figuratively and literally. This nail shape reflects womanliness, elegance and class. Women looking to try new nail trends should stay away from this one because this will definitely not compliment her personality. Women who usually opt for this shape of nails mostly compliment it with a French manicure.
  • Square Nails: This is the most common kind and is not limited to any age group or category. This shape of nails says you are not exuberant, but also stylish. You like being different in a little way, you have no problem exploring new trends such as unusual sns nail powder colors or art.
  • Round Nails: They are traditional, and vintage in comparison to the other shapes. Besides being around for many years, they extend security to whoever wears them and is not a new trend. We don’t get to fix something unless it is broken right?

All that being said, what nail shape is your favorite? Does the description match your personality?
